Animal Behaviour

These are a different than the rest, Scientific Journals. I suspect that these are better preserved than the magazines but this is information I use to gain the knowledge to understand and care for my snakes when articles arise related to snakes.

Preservation Significance

Animal Behaviour has preservation significance because it is a long-running scientific journal documenting the development of research into animal behaviour and ethology.  These physical issues from December 2023 through December 2024 preserve a contemporary snapshot of the questions, methods, terminology, and research priorities being published by the field during that period.  Unlike many hobby publications in the collection, Animal Behaviour represents formal scientific literature published for major professional societies, allowing the preservation project to show how academic research and the broader study of animal behaviour coexist alongside practical husbandry and herpetocultural publications.  Keeping the physical issues also preserves their original printed presentation as part of the historical record of scientific communication.
